The off-screen drama is just as juicy as what we see on-screen in The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Cynthia Bailey and Angela Oakley appeared on Sunday night’s (June 22) episode of Watch What Happens Live, with Angela’s husband Charles Oakley acting as the the Bravo Clubhouse’s bartender for the evening.
When a fan in the live studio audience asked Angela how she felt about Phaedra Parks describing her as the “oldest-looking young person she’s ever met,” Angela said she didn’t appreciate the dig.
“I was wondering, did she bypass a mirror? A friend? Did she have anyone to tell her how old she looks?” Angela shaded. “Especially coming in — Phaedra came in looking kind of old. I was just like, run by a mirror. You’ll be fine, Phaedra. Run by a mirror.”
Angela’s reciprocated diss came amid her first season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, while Parks returned to the franchise after a six-season hiatus. When Decider caught up with Angela back in March, she hinted at some potential drama between herself and the Married to Medicine alum.
“Phaedra is a lot of fun. She came in vibrant and ready to party. We had a good time together at first,” she said. When asked if her opinion of Parks changed as she got to know her, Angela replied, “Next question.”
Parks received some fan backlash after Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta when she rushed to tell the other women about a man named Marcus who approached Angela at a dinner to say that Charles had allegedly been cheating on her.
“Seeing Phaedra so giddy about what happened to Angela was so disgusting,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Considering that Phaedra has talked about Angela multiple times, and that she went to call Porsha IMMEDIATELY after the class, I have a feeling that Phaedra is behind all of this. lol.”
