Jessie James Decker is done expanding her family—at least she hopes to be.
Because although her husband Eric Decker underwent a vasectomy after the birth of their fourth baby, Denver, 14 months, the “Should Have Known Better” singer is prepared for whatever fate has in store.
“I’m always very nervous,” she told E! News in an exclusive interview, “because I have learned throughout my life that I’m always that one percent of, ‘This could happen.’”
Indeed, the surgical procedure—which prevents sperm from entering the semen—is considered 99.99 percent effective, according to the Cleveland Clinic, but an unexpected pregnancy isn’t impossible.
“Eric had a lot of NFL player buddies that got vasectomies, and then somehow they were that one percent that it happened [to],” Jessie, 37, continued. “So even though it’s permanent, I’m always like, ‘Man, I don’t know.’ I’m still nervous every month, to be honest.”
And although Jessie—who also shares kids Vivianne, 11, Eric Jr., 9, and Forrest, 7, with Eric, 38—joked that she and the retired football pro “seem to love to have babies,” she emphasized, “We’re done.”
