Sabrina Carpenter might’ve helmed the pants-less trend at Met Gala this year, subsequently causing a stir, but singer Lisa’s sans-trousers look is downright sparking outrage.
On Monday, the “White Lotus” star marked her first time attending the fashion event by donning a sparkling Louis Vuitton bodysuit, sheer tights and matching black pumps on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The drama, however, kicked off after eagle-eyed fans took a closer look at the Thai singer’s ensemble and noticed that a face resembling famous civil rights activist Rosa Parks, among others, appeared on her bodysuit, and were most visible in the panty area.

According to British Vogue, the embroidered images are miniature versions of portraits by artist Henry Taylor, who has worked with Louis Vuitton and Met Gala co-chair Pharrell Williams before.
Social media users on X, formerly Twitter, accused the K-pop musician of insulting Parks and the evening’s theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” by taking things too far with her risqué fashion choice.
It’s unclear if the faces represent specific people. HuffPost has reached out to Lisa and Louis Vuitton for comment.
The criticism over Lisa’s outfit comes after she faced backlash for a resurfaced video that appears to show her and fellow Blackpink members using a racial slur, according to Indian outlet the Economic Times. The singers have not commented on the authenticity of the video.
Lisa was also accused of cultural appropriation on social media after wearing a braided hairstyle for the cover art of one of her performance videos.
