Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino are returning to TV with a new series, Étoile, which premieres today on Prime Video. The husband and wife pairing are also behind Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the timeless classic Gilmore Girls, but Étoile is not actually their first series set in the world of ballet.
Bunheads is a one-season wonder that aired on ABC Family (now known as Freeform) in 2012. The show starred Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Michelle, a ballerina-turned-Vegas-showgirl who impulsively marries her persistent admirer and leaves Vegas behind for his small town of Paradise, Calif. When her husband is killed in a car accident upon their arrival, Michelle must adjust to small town life and teaching ballet alongside her mother-in-law (Gilmore Girls‘ Kelly Bishop) at her ballet studio.
Once you finish streaming Étoile, you may be wondering where you can stream Bunheads for some more of the Palladinos’ signature rapid-fire dialogue. Look no further: we have the answers.
