The CBS series “Watson” will premiere after the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 26, 2025, on CBS and also be available to stream on Paramount+. The series will air regularly starting Feb. 16.
“Watson” takes place six months after the death of the titular character’s friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty. The show stars Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson, who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders.
Per the logline, “Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though – Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. Watson is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history’s greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.”
The cast also includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann and Rochelle Aytes.

“Henry Danger The Movie,” based on the Nickelodeon live action show, premieres on the channel Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. and will be available to stream on Paramount+ the same day. A teaser is available now.
The movie stars members of the original series cast including Jace Norman as Henry Danger, Sean Ryan Fox as Jasper, Ella Anderson as Piper Hart, Michael D. Cohen as Schwoz, and Frankie Grande as Frankini. Glee Dango will play the new character of Missy Martin/Superfan.
The film description reads, “Henry finds himself racing through a maze of alternate realities with his new superfan sidekick.”

The 1997 musical “The Full Monty” is the inspiration for Fox’s “The Real Full Monty,” a new two-hour special where a group of male celebrities (almost) bare all for charity; the network has just unveiled a first look.
The special is meant to help raise awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research, encouraging men to get checked on a regular basis. The cast features host Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs (“All American,” “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”), Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf”), Bruno Tonioli (“Dancing with the Stars”), James Van Der Beek (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Varsity Blues”) and super bowl champion Chris Jones. Van Der Beek recently revealed his own diagnosis with colorectal cancer.
During the special, Anderson will be lead the male cast to train and rehearse for a revealing performance choreographed by Mandy Moore (“La La Land,” “So You Think You Can Dance”). Throughout their journey, the celebrities will share their personal stories and how cancer impacted their lives.
The special airs Monday, Dec. 9 on Fox.

The frantic search for a father in a rural community provides the seed of conflict in BYUtv’s adaptation of “Primrose Railway Children.”
This story is adapted from author Jacqueline Wilson’s novel of the same name, which itself is a modern-day retelling of Edith Nesbit’s 1905 “The Railway Children.” After a young Phoebe (Ava Joyce McCarthy) and her siblings are forced to move to a Scottish village, their father (Kevin McKidd) goes missing. Phoebe takes it upon herself to get to the bottom of her father’s disappearance and along the way, discovers connections and secrets in her new community.
The adaptation will be available to stream for free on the BYUtv app and at BYUtv.org starting Dec. 8. “Primrose Railway Children” was produced by BYUtv in partnership with BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions.

Queen Latifah will host the 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, set to air Sunday, Dec. 22 on CBS before streaming on Paramount+. This marks Latifah’s first time hosting the special.
Over the past 46 years, the Kennedy Center Honors has celebrated individuals who have made a mark in the performing arts, whether it be film, television, music, theater, dance or opera.
Latifah stars in and executive produces CBS’ “The Equalizer.” She is a Grammy-award winning musician for her rap single “U.N.I.T.Y.” and an Oscar-nominated actress for her role in the film adaptation of “Chicago.” Most recently, she was a 2023 honoree at the 46th Annual Kennedy Center Honors.
Done+Dusted will produce the ceremony for the third time in association with ROK Productions. The event is directed by Alex Rudzinski and executive produced by David Jammy, Elizabeth Kelly and Jack Sussman.
PROGRAMMING
Matt Iseman, the host of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior,” will take over the reins of “On Patrol: Live” on Nov. 29 and 30. This marks the second time Iseman will be filling in for regular host Dan Abrams over the holiday weekend.
“On Patrol: Live” provides minute-by-minute live analysis of police officers on patrol working in diverse departments across the United States. Iseman has previously hosted live coverage of three Olympic Games for Peacock and “Live Rescue” on A&E. He has appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” “Lip Sync Battle,” “Hollywood Game Night” and “RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race.”
The show airs Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET on Reelz, and streams live on Peacock. Executive producers include Dan Cesareo, John Zito, Lucilla D’Agostino, Paul Gordon, Joe Venafro and Dan Abrams.
