Anthony Michael Hall has joined Netflix’s “Wednesday” for Season 2 in an undisclosed role, Variety has learned.

The casting marks a reunion between Hall and “Wednesday” executive producer and director Tim Burton, who Hall previously worked with on the 1990 classic “Edward Scissorhands.”

“Wednesday” follows Jenna Ortega in the titular role of the psychic “Addams Family” daughter in her time as a student at Nevermore Academy. The second season of the series, which debuted its hit first season in November 2022, will launch on the streamer in two parts set to drop August 6 and September 3.

Along with Hall, the previously announced new actors joining the cast for “Wednesday” Season 2 include Steve Buscemi (“The Big Lebowski”), Billie Piper (“Scoop”), Evie Templeton (“Return to Silent Hill”), Owen Painter (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Noah Taylor (“Park Avenue”).

Notable guest stars will include Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd (“The Addams Family”), Joanna Lumley (“Absolutely Fabulous”), Thandiwe Newton (“Westworld”), Frances O’Connor (“The Twelve”), Haley Joel Osment (“Somebody I Used to Know”), Heather Matarazzo (“The Princess Diaries”) and Joonas Suotamo (“The Acolyte”).

Ortega returns alongside “Wednesday” Season 1 stars Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester).

“Wednesday” Season 2 is directed by Burton alongside Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. Series co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar serve as showrunners and executive produce with Burton, Ortega, Natalie Testa, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman and Meredith Averill. The show hails from Amazon’s MGM Television.

Best known for his iconic roles in ’80s and ’90s classics including “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club” and “Edward Scissorhands,” Hall’s most recent credits include the hit Amazon Prime Video action series “Reacher,” as well as Universal feature “Halloween Kills” and Netflix movie “Trigger Warning.”

A former cast member on “Saturday Nigh Live” from 1985-1986, Hall was on hand to celebrate the 50th anniversary of “SNL” during NBC’s live special in February.

Hall is repped by Untitled, CESD and Jill Fritzo PR.
