The White Lotus actor Walton Goggins has been everywhere lately.

One of Hollywood’s biggest stars stopped by Live with Kelly & Mark this morning to dish out the behind the scenes tea of his hit HBO show.

Probably in an attempt to steer the conversation away from any White Lotus spoilers, Mark Consuelos quickly launched into questions about Goggins’ early days in California, when he worked odd jobs in Los Angeles in the nineties, one of which was a stint selling cowboy boots in Santa Monica.

He shared with Kelly Ripa and Consuelos about the time he sold boots to none other than actor-politician-bodybuilder-icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as the revelation he had about the interaction over thirty years later that would connect him to a White Lotus co-star.

“The first night of The White Lotus, we went out to dinner – there were about six or seven of us – and I was sitting next to Patrick Schwarzenneger,” he said.

Goggins, in an attempt to bond with his new co-star, who plays the fratty, oldest brother in the Ratliff family on The White Lotus, shared a story about his run-in with Patrick’s famous father.

“I said, ‘Well I’ve got a story for you! I met your father once!’ And he said, ‘Okay, everybody has an Arnold story.’”

He explained how Arnold once came into the store with his two young daughters, Katherine and Christina, to buy pairs of red cowboy boots.

“So, I was fitting his daughters and he said, ‘We had to leave the hospital because my wife and I just had a baby.’”

The realization hit Goggins at that moment.

“Then, I looked at Patrick, and I said, ‘Wait a minute, how old are you?’ He said, ‘31.’ I said ‘It was you! You were the baby!’ So, that was my connection to Patrick,” he recalled.

What a Hollywood connection! Who would’ve thought that three decades later, he would be starring with this baby on a hit HBO show about spiritual decline, fate, and brocest.
