Instead of crying about it later, Katy Perry got emotional during her first performance since her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom.
While hitting the stage Monday, the singer appeared to fight off tears during her final show for her Lifetimes World Tour in Adelaide, Australia.
In a now-viral clip posted on X, formerly Twitter, a teary Perry looked out at the crowd as she held her hands in a heart shape, telling the audience, “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world.”
Perry seemingly regained her composure as the crowd roared in response. “Now let’s sing ‘Firework!’” she yelled.
The songwriter’s breakup with Bloom made headlines late last month. The two share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, and got engaged in 2019.
Neither Perry nor Bloom have publicly addressed the end of their relationship.
Meanwhile, the “Lord of the Rings” actor reposted some cryptic quotes in his Instagram Stories on Monday following reports of the breakup.
“Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most,” read a post Bloom reshared.
In a separate post, the actor shared another quote from the late Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda that read, “The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”
Over the weekend, Bloom caused a stir on social media for chatting up reality star Kim Kardashian and other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan in Venice ahead of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded, multiday wedding celebration.
