You don’t have to call Usher to get the 2025 Met Gala jumping.
The Grammy-winning singer was a surprise performer at the annual fashion fundraiser in New York City May 5, where, according to videos from inside the gala, he delivered electrifying renditions of his hits including “Yeah!,” “U Don’t Have to Call” and “OMG.”
After arriving alongside his wife Jennifer Goicoechea in a classic three-piece suit with a large black bowtie and white scarf, the 46-year-old hit the stage in not one, but two Willy Chavarria suits—one in red and one in white—for the heavily-choreographed set, where he was flanked by an entourage of equally stylish backup dancers.
Later in the evening, Stevie Wonder delivered his own performance as he serenaded the attendees with classics such as “Sir Duke,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” and “Isn’t She Lovely.” To close out his set, the music legend invited Usher back onstage for a duet of his 1976 hit “Another Star.”
