Tyler Perry‘s most famous character, the gun-toting grandma Madea, marks her 20th anniversary this year and, to celebrate, she’s heading to the Bahamas in “Madea’s Destination Wedding.”

The Netflix movie, which begins streaming on July 11, is Perry’s 13th Madea movie and his 30th overall. And to be clear, Madea’s not the one getting married — which, perhaps, is why she begrudgingly agrees to attend her grand-niece’s shotgun nuptials. The plot kicks off when Brian (Madea’s nephew and Joe’s son, also played by Perry) and his ex-wife Debrah (Taja V. Simpson) learn that their daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) is engaged to Zavier (Xavier Smalls), a rapper she met on a yacht — and the wedding is in two weeks.

“I am illegal in 92 countries. I cannot be going all the way to no Bahamas,” Madea quips early in the new trailer, released Monday. But when she’s reminded that there will be an open bar, she then confirms her RSVP: “We will be there.”

That’s how Madea (played by Perry) and her crew — Cassi Davis Patton’s Aunt Bam, Tamela J. Mann’s Cora, David Mann’s Mr. Brown and Joe (also played by Perry) — find themselves island-bound, despite being cramped in coach on the flight where “these seats so tight, girl, y’all are giving me a mammogram.”

As the tagline teases, “Get ready beaches” because there’s plenty of comedy to be mined from all the pre-wedding events, like the wild bachelor and bachelorette parties. But also expect a whole lot of drama to go down before the couple makes their way down the aisle.

“She’s up to something,” Madea warns midway through the clip. “You know something ain’t right about this. Something ain’t right about it at all. If you don’t have trust in a marriage, you don’t have nothin.’”

Will the movie end with wedded bliss? Or will Madea get banned from a 93rd country? Audiences will have to wait and see.

“Madea’s Destination Wedding” is produced by Perry, Angi Bones and Yolanda T. Cochran and the movie is one of five projects that the prolific filmmaker has dropping on Netflix this year. This spring, Perry launched Part 2 of the drama series “Beauty in Black,” followed by the new comedy series “She the People.” Then, on Friday, Perry’s latest movie “Straw,” starring Taraji P. Henson, launched on the streamer and shot to the No. 1 spot on the U.S. top 10 ranking. His next offering is the faith-based film “R&B,” a contemporary take on the biblical love story of Ruth and Boaz. But, unlike the majority of his projects — including the “Madea” movies, where Perry fills the roles of writer, director and producer — he simply produced “R&B.”
