Typically when President Donald Trump is asked to weigh in on something terrible that might implicate his involvement, he waves it off by claiming he doesn’t “know much” about it. But, apparently, he just made an exception to that rule.

During a White House press conference in the Oval Office Monday, a reporter asked Trump what he thinks about MAGA’s new ick, er, “it couple,” Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, per a video published by The Associated Press.

Vanessa Trump is the ex-wife of the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. The former couple tied the knot in 2005 and share five children. In 2018, she filed for divorce.

In response to the very pressing question about Woods joining Trump’s extended family, the president seemed pleased that the legendary golfer was joining his clan.

He also revealed he knew about their relationship well before the couple made it official on Instagram late last month.

“They broke up quite a while ago, which to me was very sad because I think they’re both great,” Trump said of Vanessa Trump and his son. “Tiger actually called me a few months ago… and he told me about it. And I said, ‘Tiger that’s good. That’s good.’ I’m very happy for both. Let them both be happy.”

Trump also couldn’t help but mention that he has a “special, very good relationship with Tiger,” whom Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.

“I’ve played golf with him a couple of times over the past month,” Trump said. “And he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete.”

But a love of golf isn’t the only thing Trump and Woods could bond over — they could also gush about their love of cheating on their partners.

Trump’s infidelity is pretty well documented, being that it was at the center of his hush money trial. Woods was exposed as a serial cheater in 2009, after he crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant near his Orlando home, and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, ran to the SUV with a golf club and bashed in one of the vehicle’s windows.

At first it was assumed Nordegren inflicted further damage to her husband’s car in order to save him, but her motivations were likely very different in retrospect.

After the accident, it was reported that Woods had an affair with a woman named Jaimee Grubbs. After Grubbs very candidly confirmed she had a sexual relationship with Woods, six other women came forward as well, prompting Woods to confess publicly about his infidelities. As a result, Woods’ golf career was stilted for quite a while, and he and Nordegren got a divorce in 2010.
