George Clooney is saying goodnight to his moody black ‘do.
Nearly three months after the actor dyed his famed salt-and-pepper locks for his role as Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck, he arrived at the 2025 Tony Awards June 8 with a return to his iconic look.
“I had to cut it all out with a weed whacker to get it all,” George teased to E! News‘ Keltie Knight in an exclusive interview on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall. “That black hair dye, I had to cut it out. You can’t color that.”
As the actor celebrated his Best Actor in a Play nomination at the biggest night in Broadway, he turned heads with his classic short hairstyle walking the red carpet. For the evening at Radio City Musical Hall, he opted for a classic black tuxedo, which complemented wife Amal Clooney’s stunning beaded white gown. (See all the stars here.)
Although the Ocean’s Eleven alum kept the eyebrow-raising hair color for his latest project, he was ready to rid himself of the look as soon as he and the cast took their final bows.
