President Donald Trump‘s speech to Congress Tuesday night (March 4) was unsurprisingly the first thing talked about on this morning’s episode of The View, where co-host Joy Behar ripped the POTUS for making the United States the “enemy of the world” with his policies.

Trump hit on topics from transgender athletes to his policy on raising tariffs, all while Democratic leaders protested by holding signs that read “False,” and “Musk Steals.” But what bothered Behar the most was when Trump blamed former president Joe Biden for the fact that inflation rates are still higher than they were before the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When Biden was in [office], we had the envy of the world. The world admired our economy. The lying! That was the biggest lie that he told. The whole thing was filled with lies,” Behar said, comparing Trump to a “bad standup comic” who was “doing a bad set.”

The comedian went on to fact-check Trump’s claims about the economy, stating, “[Trump] inherited the lowest unemployment since [Richard] Nixon, he inherited a roaring stock market which we saw took a tumble the other day, [and] an inflation rate that Biden brought down from over 9% to 2.7%.

“We were the economy envy of the world. Now we’re just the enemy of the world,” Behar added. “Everybody’s mad at us. Canada’s mad at us, Panama’s mad.”

Whoopi Goldberg, however, clarified that our friends at the Northern border are “mad” at Trump — not the American people.

“I believe the rest of the world understands that Americans are questioning a lot of what’s going on as well,” she said. “They know that this is not a done deal because they’re seeing that federal, real people workers are being fired. They’re seeing how it’s affecting [everyone].”

Behar chimed back in to say she “believes in Canadians.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
