Kristen Doute is pregnant!
The “Valley” star announced Tuesday that she is expecting a rainbow baby with her fiancé, Luke Broderick.
“After our pregnancy loss last year, we decided to start trying in early 2024,” Doute told People.
“I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving, so Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.”
The Bravolebrity, 41, detailed meeting up with a fertility specialist in late summer before deciding that the best course of action would be intrauterine insemination.
“The next month was a whirlwind — getting educated on fertility and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI,” she explained, describing her “incredible” meeting with Dr. Carolyn Alexander at Southern California Reproductive Center.
“She cared with a perfect balance of science and good energy, successfully helping us create our little miracle,” Doute said.
Two weeks after their first IUI session, the former “Vanderpump Rules” star discovered she was pregnant.
“The two weeks following the IUI procedure felt like years. To get a correct outcome on a pregnancy test, two weeks’ time had to pass and I had to wait it out, but in my heart I knew it had worked,” she said.
“I tested one day early and got the big PREGNANT result staring back at me.”
Doute described feeling “relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous.” As for Broderick, he “wasn’t surprised but was so happy that IUI worked the first time.”
“He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least!” the James Mae designer recalled before revealing that her due date is June 2025.
Doute also shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo in which she cradled her bare bump and showcased a sonogram of their baby.
The reality TV star revealed in November 2023 that she had suffered a miscarriage at six weeks.
“I only feel comfortable talking about this because I know so many friends of mine have gone through this. I know so many women have been through this,” she told her “Sex, Love and What Else Matters” podcast listeners.
Doute then explained that her pregnancy was not viable and considered a blighted ovum, meaning an embryo had not developed.
“You always think, ‘What’s wrong, what did I do wrong? Could I have done something different?’” she said. “And my doctor and my friends have told me, inside and out, up and down, there’s no cause. They don’t know why.”
While waiting for their bundle of joy, Doute and Broderick will also be planning their wedding after getting engaged in September during a trip to Hawaii.
Doute and Broderick, 33, met at a wedding in June 2022. They began dating shortly after but kept their romance under wraps before going public in December.
