“The Bachelor” has finally been greenlit for its 30th season at ABC.

The news comes following months of uncertainty surrounding the unscripted franchise. In February, it was reported that there would be no new season of “The Bachelorette” this summer, going against the franchise’s typical rhythm in which a contestant from the spring season of “The Bachelor” goes on to lead the spinoff months later. Then, in March, executive producers Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner left the franchise following allegations of a toxic workplace reported in Deadline.

Along with the renewal, ABC confirmed that Season 30 of “The Bachelor” would be showrun by Scott Teti, a newcomer to the franchise who was named showrunner of “Bachelor in Paradise” in Janauary. A spinoff of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” more oriented towards casual dating than marriage, “Bachelor in Paradise” features men and women from across the franchise who date each other on a summer vacation in Mexico.

Season 10, the first run by Teti, premieres on July 7 and will be the first edition of “Paradise” since ABC debuted “The Golden Bachelor” and “The Golden Bachelorette,” meaning that older contestants will be hitting the beach alongside the 20- and 30-somethings who typically populate the series. So far, announced cast members include 16 younger contestants and 10 “Goldens” in their 60s and 70s.

“The Bachelor” is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. A premiere date for Season 30 has yet to be announced, but the series typically debuts new seasons in late January.

Season 29 of “The Bachelor” was led by Grant Ellis, who first appeared as a contestant on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette.” The season concluded with Ellis proposing to Juliana Pasquarosa, but the two announced their breakup in June.
