It appears to be the end of the road for Sydney Sweeney and fiancé Jonathan Davino’s love story.
Amid ongoing rumors that the “Euphoria” actor and her “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell are dating, multiple outlets confirmed Monday that Sweeney and Davino have called off their wedding and ended their relationship of seven years.
Sweeney, 27, and Davino, 41, have been romantically linked since 2018 and got engaged in 2022.
In recent weeks, fans have speculated that the couple were ending things after TMZ claimed Sweeney had moved out of their shared home and had been living at the Beverly Hills Hotel. TMZ also reported last month that the pair’s wedding, which was meant to take place in May, had been postponed. The outlet has since confirmed that the two have been separated since January and “are not together romantically.”
Sweeney further fueled the breakup rumors after she recently deleted an old Instagram post of herself and the film producer kissing. She also showed off pictures of herself without her engagement ring.
Sweeney is “not ready to settle down” because she is “in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago” and “this is what she wants to focus on right now,” a source told People on Monday. They added that the actor and Davino “only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off,” but clarified that the couple “didn’t split because there is no love.”

Sweeney’s career took off after her breakout role in the Max series “Euphoria,” which first aired in 2019. She’s starred in numerous movies since then, including “Madame Web,” “Anyone But You,” and “Immaculate.” She is set to appear in Apple Studios’ thriller “Echo Valley” and will also portray boxer Christy Martin in an untitled biopic.
“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the source told People.
Balancing her relationship with Davino was too much to bear amid Sweeney’s budding success, according to the insider.
“What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding,” the source continued. “She didn’t feel right about it.”
The split has apparently been looming considering a source told People late last month that “things have been rocky for a long time.”
The news of their split comes after Sweeney told Glamour back in October that she and Davino were “teammates,” adding, “We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”
HuffPost has reached out to Sweeney’s reps for comment.
Meanwhile, Sweeney seems to be enjoying single life, as she was spotted spending time with Powell, 36, at his sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner. The two previously made headlines for their magnetic chemistry while promoting “Anyone But You,” something they claimed was a marketing ploy for the film.
Despite the rumors that Sweeney and Powell are an item, the “Top Gun” actor’s mom, Cyndy Powell, shut down the hearsay.
