Stephen Colbert joked about finding one small upside to the economic chaos that has been triggered by President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs.
The stock market has just endured its worst week since March 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic sent the global economy into a tailspin, Colbert noted on Monday’s broadcast of “The Late Show.”
But “there is one silver lining” to the current uncertainty, said Colbert.
Then he cracked: “This time, since there’s no pandemic, we can safely scream straight into each other’s faces.”
