Spencer Pratt will always have his wife’s back.
The former reality television star clapped back at online trolls who shared hate comments about Heidi Montag’s wig at the AMAs 2025 on Monday night.
On the red carpet at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the “I’ll Do It” singer, 38, debuted a blond bob, which fans deemed the “world’s worst” wig.
But Pratt wouldn’t let her get slammed on the internet; yesterday, he took to social media to defend the wig, which she wore with a dazzling royal blue look from The Blonds’ fall 2024 collection.
He replied to one user’s video that wrote, “I love love love her, but you should’ve stopped that wig” over a picture of Montag posing on the red carpet.
“for the wig haters please pre order HEIDIWOOD now so that future wigs have more budget ❤️🙏,” Pratt sarcastically captioned the post, promoting his wife’s latest album, which drops on May 30.
“One thing about Spencer, he will make it into a marketing pitch🔥 🔥🔥🔥,” one user emphasized.
E! Entertainment’s account wrote, “If loving her wig is wrong, we don’t wanna be right. 💁♀️❤️” A third added, “Heidi’s wig fund 😂”
Pratt shared the same video on his TikTok page, captioning the clip, “Only 3 days if you love her buy the ‘Heidiwood’album so she can afford better wigs in the future. Fancy wigs cost like 20k ask Beyoncé”
Meanwhile, in another TikTok video, Pratt responded to Page Six’s story about the red carpet look.
“A lot of people love the wig. A lot of people didn’t love it so much. But you know what, we’re very thankful to be at the American Music Awards, and having anyone talk about Heidi’s hair was a blessing,” he said.
Pratt continued, “In the future, if Heidi were to do another wig, hopefully, we’ll have Beyoncé money one day. I’ve learned a lot about wigs. A really nice wig is $20,000. We don’t have a $20,000 wig budget.”
He later added, “I’m so thankful so many people care about Heidi that they want her to look the best she possibly can on the red carpet.
A lot of people even love the wig, so it’s all good. But all that really matters is if you want us to get new wigs for Heidi in the future, please pre-order Heidiwood right now so that we can afford one. So, thank you for caring.”
