“Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Thursday mocked an awkward moment during Donald Trump’s announcement of a new trade agreement with the United Kingdom.
Trump touted the deal — which Meyers dismissed as “much more limited” than the president claimed — during an Oval Office event that included a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
But the call didn’t exactly end smoothly.
As Trump and Starmer repeatedly thanked each other, it dragged on in cringeworthy fashion.
Meyers played the clip for his audience, then cracked: “Just hang up the fucking phone. Jesus.”
He followed up with a jab: “What’s going on? Did you two date last summer at sleep-away camp?”
