Selena Gomez is trying a new look on — temporarily.
The “Only Murders in the Building” actress debuted a shaggy wolf haircut with wispy bangs on Instagram; however, it turns out the dramatic hair transformation was the result of a wig.
“I would, but I’d regret it, then get it redone so I simply wont #bangs,” she captioned a selfie, rocking the layered look, implying that she’s not willing to chop off her real locks.
And she isn’t the only one who has faced this all-too-common beauty conundrum. “That’s so real,” one fan commented on the post. Another was on the same page, noting, “Such a mood”
In the selfie, Gomez, 32, wore a white bathrobe with a bold makeup look featuring rosy pink blush, orangish-coral lipstick and a brown cat eye.
The “Lose You To Love Me” singer’s go-to makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, first posted the choppy hairdo on his Instagram page.
“New hair, who dis?” he captioned the black-and-white selfie, which shows Gomez smiling while he threw up a peace sign.
Gomez used the same caption when debuting a short, shaggy cut in 2022, which looks quite similar to her latest wig.
“OH BABY SHE IS BANGIN’ 🗣️😍,” one follower wrote on Vanngo’s post. “The bangs have always looked very beautiful on her💕” another emphasized.
Esteemed celebrity hairstylist Orlando Pita, whose clientele includes Julianne Moore and Anne Hathaway, was behind the Rare Beauty founder’s latest look.
“Having a fun day playing with @selenagomez 💇🏻♀️,” the expert captioned an Instagram slideshow, posing next to Gomez with her new ‘do.
It seems she’s sticking to wigs for the time being.
