Jiggly Caliente, beloved star of RuPaul’s Drag Race and judge on Drag Race Philippines, has passed away at the age of 44. According to her family, Caliente had been dealing with serious complications from a severe infection that ultimately led to surgery and the loss of most of her right leg.

Her passing was confirmed in a heartfelt message shared to her Instagram by her family. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente. Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”

In the statement, her family reflected on her life and impact: “A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity. She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world. Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.”

Caliente first made her mark on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, finishing in eighth place, and later returned for All Stars 6, where she came in 12th. Her charisma, talent, and signature dance moves earned her a special place in the hearts of fans.

In 2022, she joined the judging panel of Drag Race Philippines, lending her expertise and personality to the show for three seasons.

Born in San Pedro, Philippines, Caliente later moved to the United States. Her drag name was inspired by the Pokémon character Jigglypuff. In 2016, she publicly came out as transgender.

Beyond the drag world, Caliente built a diverse entertainment career, with TV appearances on Saturday Night Live, Search Party, and a recurring role on FX’s acclaimed series Pose.

She also explored music, dropping her debut hip-hop album, T.H.O.T. Process, in 2018. The album included features from drag legends like RuPaul, Sharon Needles, Peppermint, Alaska, Ginger Minj, Phi Phi O’Hara, and Manila Luzon.
