SongVest, a company that enables fans and investors to purchase fractional shares of music royalties, is opening the reservation period for “Queen SongShares.” From today (Nov. 21) through Thursday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, fans can reserve SongShares in four Queen tracks — “Under Pressure,” “It’s A Kind of Magic,” “I Want It All,” and “The Show Must Go On” — as well as the “Bohemian Rhapsody” film soundtrack.

While the group recently sold the rights to their music catalog, along with various other rights, to Sony Music for more than $1 billion, the royalties in question here are from the estate of their late co-producer David Richards, who also worked with David Bowie, Duran Duran, Iggy Pop and others.

Each reservation includes a digital and physical SongShare certificate of authenticity, a limited-edition challenge coin, and a 7” display-only commemorative vinyl. Following the reservation period, Queen SongShares will be submitted for SEC Qualification for public sale. Earned royalties are paid out quarterly.

SongVest, which says its total sales are more than $15 million, has offered fans royalty shares from songs recorded by Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Cardi B, Sister Hazel, Bad Bunny, Mariah Carey, Eminem, and others.

“Sharing in my father’s work with Queen has always been a privilege and a gift, and seeing his legacy brought to life through SongVest is incredibly meaningful,” said Chris Richards, the producer’s son. “These SongShares are not just an investment; they’re an invitation for fans to hold a piece of Queen’s magic and my father’s creative spirit. Queen’s music has touched so many lives, and it’s inspiring to know fans can now connect with that magic in such a personal way.”

SongVest CEO Sean Peace added, “Freddie Mercury and Queen changed rock music forever, creating songs that have held deep meaning for fans across generations. David Richards’ production legacy brought Queen’s artistry to life, and we’re honored to invite fans to share in that legacy and own a part of music history.”
