Today is Princess Astrid of Norway’s funeral – which will be taking place at Ris Church in Oslo at 1pm local time (12pm UK time). The service comes 14 days after the service for her older brother, King Harald.
Princess Astrid’s funeral will be broadcast live on Norwegian television. Representatives from European monarchies are not obliged to attend.
The Royal Palace has confirmed that King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, Crown Princess Ingrid, and Queen Sonja will all be in attendance. They’ll be joined by Astrid’s own children and other relatives.
