‘F-1 Trillion’ tour

Post Malone is a man of few words.

When the Grammy nominee brought his “F-1 Trillion” tour to Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island on Sunday, he issued the same message of gratitude in between nearly all 25 songs on his setlist: “Thank you so very f–king much, ladies and gentlemen.”

And yet, he never once came off as robotic.

Instead, Malone, 29, was a charming cowboy, one who gave Luke Bryan a run for his money with his hip-shaking levity on a breezy September night on the water.

The heavily tattooed hitmaker — who launched his career as a rapper and has since tried his hand at R&B, rock and pop — seemed most at home performing “M-E-X-I-C-O,” “Fallin’ in Love” and more stellar tracks off his new country album, after which his tour is named (which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering he predicted in a 2015 tweet that he’d fully embrace the genre by the age of 30).

Malone opened his two-hour set with “Wrong Ones” and enough pyrotechnics to light up the entirety of Ocean Parkway before playfully warning his audience, “I’m gonna play some s–tty songs and party a little bit while we do it.”

And party he did.

Throughout his electric show, a barefoot Malone guzzled countless cups of Bud Light and chain-smoked cigarettes while seamlessly bouncing through hits both old and new.

He appeased fans early on with his 2019 soft-rock chart-topper “Circles” but saved earlier smashes like his 2015 debut “White Iverson” and 2017 trap anthem “Rockstar” for just before the encore.

The biggest reaction from the crowd, though, came during “I Had Some Help,” the Morgan Wallen-featured lead single from “F-1 Trillion” that shot to No. 1 this spring.

Wallen, 31, is in the midst of his own tour and therefore couldn’t join Malone onstage, but Posty — who also collaborated with Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton and other country greats on his latest record — held his own at Jones Beach just fine.

Perhaps he never needed “some help” after all.
