Frances Bean Cobain is the only child of musicians Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love , born in August 1992. She was still a toddler when her father died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in April 1994. Frances was raised by extended family members, including her grandmother, as Courtney struggled with addiction. Courtney even lost custody entirely after she was arrested in 2003.
