Animation powerhouse Passion Paris is joining forces with acclaimed game developer Amplitude Studios to develop a new animated series set in the beloved Endless universe. The announcement was made today during the Annecy Animation Festival, where Passion Paris is also previewing its upcoming preschool series “Not a Box.”

“We’re so excited to be stepping into the Endless universe,” said Caroline Audebert, managing director and executive producer at Passion Paris. “Amplitude has built a world that’s rich with lore, characters and atmosphere, and we’re working closely with their team to develop a visual style and storytelling approach that captures what players already love about the series, while opening the door to new stories and audiences.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Amplitude’s recent reveal of the early access release date for “Endless Legend 2,” a significant milestone for the franchise. With the new series, the studio aims to expand the universe’s narrative reach and bring its complex mythology to life in a new visual format.

“Endless is a universe we’ve been shaping with passion for years, hand in hand with our community. Seeing it take a new leap forward through this partnership with Passion Pictures is truly a dream come true. We’re proud of this collaboration and can’t wait to see the adventure come to life in a whole new format,” said Romain de Waubert de Genlis, CEO and co-founder at Amplitude Studios.

Passion Paris is well-positioned to bring the Endless universe to screens. The studio has recently been involved in several high-profile animated projects, including “400 Boys,” directed by Robert Valley for Netflix’s “Love, Death + Robots,” and “Not a Box,” which debuts on Apple TV+ this Friday. Rather than adhering to a single animation “house style,” Passion emphasizes creative diversity and matches artists, directors and visual techniques to each unique story.

Founded in 2011, Amplitude Studios has grown into one of the most respected names in strategy gaming, thanks to its flagship Endless franchise and the historical 4X title “Humankind.” The Endless universe itself spans five critically acclaimed games and includes over 80 civilizations and hundreds of characters. With “Endless Legend 2” on the horizon, the addition of an animated series promises to further immerse fans in its expansive science-fantasy world.
