“9-1-1: Nashville” is continuing to build out its cast, with both LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley joining the upcoming ABC drama series.

Variety has learned from sources that both Rimes and Williams-Paisley are set to star alongside previously announced cast members Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw.

Reps for 20th Television, which is producing the series, declined to comment.

Rimes is best known for her music career, as she is one the most successful artists of her generation. She has sold over 48 million records worldwide, and is responsible for hit songs like “How Do I Live” and “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.” She has also received eight Grammy nominations in her career, with two wins, and made history as the youngest solo artist ever to take home a Grammy. As an actress, Rimes has appeared in shows like “Moesha,” “Days of Our Lives,” and “Drop Dead Diva,” as well as in films like “Logan Lucky” and TV movies including “It’s Christmas, Eve” and “Northern Lights.”

Williams-Paisley previously starred in the ABC music drama “Nashville” as well as the ABC sitcom “According to Jim,” the latter of which aired for eight seasons. Her other TV credits include “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings” and “Two and a Half Men.” In film, she is known for the “Father of the Bride” films as well as movies like “The Christmas Chronicles” as well as Hallmark movies like “A Nashville Christmas Carol” and “Sister Swap.”

She is repped by Gersh and Link Management.

“9-1-1: Nashville” is the latest expansion of the “9-1-1” franchise. Fox previously aired the Texas-based “9-1-1: Lone Star” starring Rob Lowe, with that show wrapping up its run after five seasons in early February. “9-1-1” was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear and premiered on Fox in 2018 before moving to ABC for its seventh season in 2024. Season 8 of the series is currently airing.

“9-1-1: Nashville” hails from writers Murphy, Minear, and Rashad Raisani, with all three executive producing. Chris O’Donnell, Falchuk, Brad Buecker, and “9-1-1” star Angela Bassett also executive produce. 20th Television, where Murphy is under an overall deal, is the studio.
