On Thursday night, Miley Cyrus joined Beyoncé on stage during her “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Paris, with the two hit musicians matching in glittering gold looks.
“I love y’all so much. I’m super excited because I wanted to do something very special for your guys,” Beyoncé told the crowd before Cyrus hit the stage for the surprise performance. “Give it up — I’m so grateful to sing with you, Ms. Miley Cyrus.”
In front of a packed house at Stade de France, they gave the first-ever live performance of “II Most Wanted” from Beyoncé’s 2024 album, which earned them a Grammy for best country duo or group performance.
Looking every bit the world-famous pop star, Cyrus stunned in a custom McQueen crystal and rhinestone-covered catsuit with built-in heeled boots adapted from the fall/winter 2025 pre-collection. The one-piece look featured tattoo-inspired stencil embroidery, per a press release from the brand.
Beyoncé, for her part, glowed in a custom gold Rabanne minidress crafted from the fashion house’s hallmark metallic chainmail.
The fabulous creation included fringe along the neckline and asymmetrical hem, as well as a matching belt that cinched her in.
Queen Bey added a Western spin to the look, of course, by way of metallic gold cowboy boots.
Cyrus reflected on the whirlwind moment on Instagram, writing a lengthy caption alongside snaps and videos from the performance.
“@beyonce to be beside such a humble, gracious, legendary DIVA was a dream come true,” she said.
“Thank you for the opportunity to perform in Paris together & sing our song about friendship. To have learned from you & loved you my whole life, & then be standing together in matching gold looks is more than I could’ve imagined.”
Last night marked the first time the musicians performed together since 2008 when they joined forces (along with more singers like Rihanna and Mary J. Blige) at the Stand Up to Cancer benefit concert.
