Shannon Sharpe is facing multiple accusations of sexual assault — one of them from his ex-girlfriend Michele Bundy Evans, who previously filed a lawsuit against the ESPN commentator. Amid Sharpe’s hiatus from First Take and his other sexual assault and battery lawsuit, Evans spoke publicly about her ex in a new interview.

In response to Evans’ recent claims, a rep for Sharpe called her allegations “ridiculous and completely without merit” in a statement to The U.S. Sun in April 2025.

“She could not find a lawyer to take her case and if you read her complaint, you’ll see it is filled with nonsense,” the rep alleged. “Shannon has had no contact with her for many years and we understand that she is still on probation after serving three years in prison.”

Below, learn everything we know so far about Evans and her past relationship with Sharpe.

What Did Michele Bundy Evans Accuse Shannon Sharpe of?

During her April 2025 interview with The U.S. Sun, Evans claimed that she and Sharpe got into a heated argument in September 2010. At the time, she accused him of cheating, to which he allegedly “proceeded to forcefully subdue [Evans], compelling [her] to [her] knees and subsequently engaging in non-consensual oral penetration.”

“Despite my protests, he persisted in this violation,” Evans claimed. “Consumed by fear and the perplexing nature of his actions, I harbored a deep-seated apprehension that resistance would precipitate further detrimental outcomes. … Thereafter, Shannon’s coercion escalated as he maneuvered me onto the bed and achieved non-consensual vaginal penetration, all the while proclaiming his intent to ‘Make it so no other man would want me. I was bereft of understanding as to his meaning, yet acutely aware that my voiced dissent had been wantonly disregarded.”

Evans further alleged that Sharpe “took a more menacing turn” on her when he “levied threats of ruin” and threatened a “comprehensive campaign to ‘use everyone I know to destroy you.’”

“Given Shannon’s extensive acquaintances, the gravity of this threat loomed large, engendering an intensified state of fear within me,” Evans claimed. “In response to his unrelenting harassment, which persisted even during my hours of employment, I sought and obtained judicial relief in the form of a protective order.”

At the time, Sharpe was a CBS News commentator, and he stepped away from his job when Evans filed a restraining order against him. According to The Sun, the petition accused Sharpe of “repeatedly” calling and threatening her life in addition to placing Evans under surveillance.
