Future definitely had one of the most-talked about looks at the Met Gala 2025. Why, you ask?
The rapper debuted a shocking hair transformation for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual bash in New York City on May 5.
The Grammy winner—typically known for his long, dark dreadlocks—was nearly unrecognizable with a short, bleached hairdo on the red carpet. (See every star on the red carpet here.)
His spiky, cropped locks divided fans who either loved or questioned his unexpected makeover.
“Def thought Future was Wanda Sykes,” one X user posted, referencing the comedian, while another echoed similar sentiments with, “future got rid of the dreads and became wanda sykes.”
A third critic shared on X, “Future got the blonde Scottie Pippen bush.”
As for his ensemble, the 41-year-old rocked gray knitted pants and a matching coat over a white shirt and black tie for this year’s menswear-inspired theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
