A HGTV staple just kicked off their milestone 20th season with a new co-host.
Love It Or List It welcomed Page Turner as co-host and designer alongside realtor and series veteran David Visentin on its Season 20 premiere on Monday night (April 21). Fans of the real estate program are well aware by now that Turner took over for Hilary Farr, who announced in 2023 that she would be leaving the show following a 19-season-long tenure.
Farr told People at the time that she had “given [the show] so many years of [her] life,” and though the experience had “been incredibly gratifying,” she felt it was “time for [her] to move on and meet new challenges.” She also cited her previous battle with cancer as a factor in changing her outlook on life.
“I’m now very aware of really wanting to take joy out of every day, and that’s one of the reasons that it was time to leave Love It or List It, because it was becoming too easy … I was in a rut,” she shared. “It’s been so many years. You want to feel that every day is something different and special and grasp for those challenges. That’s really what I think drives me, anyway.”
While speaking with TV Insider, Visentin assured fans that there is no bad blood between him and Farr, noting that they “will be friends forever.”
“I love her,” he added. “You can’t work with somebody for that long and not appreciate them as a human being and have love for them. I appreciate everything she gave to this show since 2008. I mean, it got to be where it is because of her.”
For those unfamiliar with Love It or List It, the series features a designer (Turner) working to renovate a family’s house into their dream home, while a real estate agent (Visentin) is pitted up against them as they work to find another home the family will love that is on the market.
