Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann have grown a tight-knit family of five in the over twenty years that they have been together.
The two actors met on the set of Law & Order: SVU , in which she stars as Olivia Benson and he guest stars as defense attorney Trevor Langan, and tied the knot in 2004; their first date was at church. Together they have three children, two of whom are adopted, August, 20, Amaya, 15, and Andrew, 14.
Mariska became a mom when she was 42, and she has long been candid about being an “older mom,” embracing the fact. In fact, she admitted in January 2024 that she is: “So grateful that I’m an older mom.”
