Mark Consuelos may not have had anything to do with Kelly Ripa throwing her neck out, but after hearing how it went down, he may have wished he did.

On Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, Consuelos brought attention to Ripa moving her head “gingerly,” as they revealed that she “threw [her] neck out” over the weekend.

“Your neck is the Achilles heel of your body,” he claimed. “It goes out.”

While Ripa insisted that her neck “doesn’t go out often,” Consuelos noted, “When something’s wrong with you, it’s always your neck.”

Ripa admitted, “I did it to myself, to be clear.”

Consuelos quipped, “I’m glad I wasn’t involved.”

Ripa continued, “And it wasn’t, like, an old age thing, where you sneeze and you throw out your neck or you hang up your coat and you throw out your neck.”

She explained that she was “doing pilates,” highlighting that she thinks it was a “fairly advanced” move that she had never done before.

“It’s an ab exercise,” she shared. “So your arms are down, and you roll your feet back, and then you slowly bring your legs down.”

Describing the move as “long spine,” Ripa added, “I was doing that, and I guess I threw my legs over with too much ferocity, and I almost flipped all the way back off the machine.”

Consuelos joked, “On second thought, maybe I wish I was involved in that. The way you’re describing this move. This move is fascinating to me… I want to do short spine this weekend!”

Ripa replied, “Short spine is great, but long spine is hard. And I did it with too much zeal because part of my personality disorder is that I think I’m an expert immediately after I try something once.”

Consuelos told Ripa that she’s “gotta be careful with the ‘pie-lates,” which she echoed with a smile.
