Marcello Hernández had one very special person by his side at the 2026 Emmy Awards. The Saturday Night Live star brought his Cuban mom, Isabel , as his date to television’s biggest night.
For those who follow Hernández’s stand-up, you know he has never been shy about talking about how much his comedy comes from his family – especially his mom.
When USA Today asked who he brought to the Emmys, Hernández immediately turned the question into a joke. “Who’s my date? Don’t you know my date? You don’t know who this is?” he joked. “Oh buddy, oh buddy, you have a lot to learn. No, I’m kidding. It’s my mom, bro.”
