Comedian Marc Maron on Monday slammed MAGA-backing comics while shredding President Donald Trump’s administration for enacting “American Authoritarianism with a fully functioning fascist cultural apparatus.”

“I hope all the ‘anti-woke’ comics are happy about pushing this all through. The big question is when will they shut up about trans people, intellectually challenged people, immigrants, the disabled and minorities. I mean, they won,” wrote the “WTF” podcast host in a blog post.

“The policies they were supporting (whether they knew it or not) are happening. All the language and law that protected the vulnerable and marginalized and gave them a leg up have been destroyed.”

He continued, “History is being erased and rewritten to support Christian Nationalism. Creativity, tolerance and the path to equality squashed.”

Earlier in the post, Maron described Trump deploying troops to Los Angeles protests and the U.S. air strikes on Iran as “horrendous and damning” moves, noting that they “put in place the machinery to make this a military dictatorship.”

Over the past year, Maron has ripped Bill Maher for riding with aspects of the administration, and in October, Maron went after comics who have brought “shameless, self-proclaimed white supremacists and fascists” on their shows.

Comedians like Joe Rogan, Theo Von and Andrew Schulz had Trump on their shows in the lead-up to his election win. The Trump campaign, per Time magazine, looked to “win over” young men after finding that the voting cohort engaged with politics “mostly through edgy bro podcasts and social media.”

Maron wrote that he hopes it “was all worth it” for the MAGA-world comedians so they could “say the R-word again.”

The “R-Word” — considered a slur toward those with disabilities — has crept its way back toward the mainstream with public use by the likes of Rogan, Elon Musk and Schulz.

Maron wrote that he hopes they’re proud that the policies they were “championing” are now a reality.

“I hope you can now stop playing the victim and just enjoy the amazing lack of diversity and diminishment of human rights and collective fear you have supported, because it’s here,” he wrote.
