“Love Island USA” is making it clear that cyberbullying of the reality show’s contestants won’t be tolerated.

If you’ve been on social media recently, then you’ve probably seen that the series’ seventh season has increasingly garnered negative attention from fans who’ve delivered harsh criticisms to an array of cast members online.

A large number of the disapproving posts stem from the Islanders’ controversial decision to vote Jeremiah Brown and Hannah Fields out of the villa during Sunday’s episode, making them the latest victims of elimination from the island.

During Tuesday’s episode, Peacock issued a warning to viewers.

“The keyword in Love Island is… LOVE. We love our fans. We love our Islanders. We don’t love cyberbullying, harassment or hate,” the message read.

Meanwhile, on X, formerly Twitter, the show issued yet another warning Tuesday to remind fans that the Islanders are “real people.”

“We appreciate the fans, the passion for the series, and the amazing group of Islanders who are sharing their summer with us,” they wrote. “Please just remember they’re real people — so let’s be kind and spread the love!”

Jeremiah’s ex, contestant Huda Mustafa, has also found herself at the center of the show’s discourse. Huda’s ex-boyfriend, Noah Sheline, defended the reality star against criticism from fans on social media.

“At the end of the day I hope everyone remembers we’re human,” said Sheline, who shares a 4-year-old daughter with Mustafa, in a June 17 TikTok. “Her going on that show to find love, or whatever you think it was she’s doing, remember she’s still human, she has a daughter, and a life.”

The show’s host, Ariana Madix, also warned fans to stop “saying rude things” and “doxxing” the contestants on their social media accounts.

“There’s such a great, amazing communal experience when it comes to watching the show, but I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” Madix said during the show’s June 21 “Aftersun” episode. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people. Don’t be going on Islanders’ pages and saying rude things.”

The TV personality added: “Because this is a fun, amazing, beautiful show, and we should be thanking each one of these Islanders every single day for giving us themselves. Be nice. Please be nice, or I’ll come find you.”

Season 7 of “Love Island USA” is now streaming on Peacock.
