Lydic joked that Trump’s tariffs were “working” before turning to a news clip detailing CEOs’ fears of a recession as well another clip showing a “snapshot” of the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling since the president’s inauguration.
“I’m not an economist but it’s probably a bad sign when the chart itself looks like it jumped off the roof,” said Lydic of the Dow Jones graphic.
“Look at that drop! Six Flags is going to make a roller coaster of that.”
She continued to play with her roller coaster comparison by acting out a mock conversation between amusement park guests.
″‘Mom, I want to ride the Dow Jones!’ ‘We can’t afford it!’”
Lydic later noted that Trump’s tariffs are “tearing apart” the president’s friends as Elon Musk dissed the president’s top trade adviser Peter Navarro on Tuesday. Musk referred to Navarro “dumber than a sack of bricks” after he referred to the billionaire as a “car assembler” on CNBC one day earlier.
“Ooh, I have to pick between Elon Musk and Peter Navarro? This is like the trolley problem if the problem was that you only have one trolley,” she quipped.
