Mauricio Umansky is walking on thin ice. During tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it’s revealed that Umansky replaced a photo of his estranged wife Kyle Richards with his Dancing with the Stars partner Emma Slater in his home office.
Sutton Stracke makes the shocking revelation while plotting a girl’s night with Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne.
“There was a story that [Richards] told me about a picture,” Stracke says. “Mauricio — he replaced a picture of the two of them with a picture of him and the woman from Dancing with the Stars in the office in their house.”
What makes this even more of a gut punch is that there were once romance rumors surrounding Umansky and Slater, who were caught holding hands as they left a private dinner in October 2023. Richards said on Watch What Happens Live at the time that she was “taken aback” by the photos of her estranged husband, adding that it was “very hard to see” and that it “hurt my feelings.”
However, Umansky clarified at the time that he and Slater were “not dating.”
“When we came out of dinner, we were recapping and I reached out to grab Emma’s hand, and she grabbed my hand, and we, you know, walked to the cars just recapping and summarizing and then the paparazzi caught that moment,” he wrote on social media, per Page Six. “It’s become a blown-out moment.”
While Richards and Umansky had been long separated by this time, his decision to replace a photo of her with the women he was rumored to be dating in the office of the home he and Richards shared was a blatant red flag for both Stracke and Hilton.
“I mean, at that point, for me, I’m like, ‘Bye. Bye, Mauricio.’ But I don’t think Kyle did that. I think she just kind of was hurt and still hopeful,” Stracke says in her confessional, while Hilton adds, “It would be one thing taking [the picture of him and Richards] down. But then to put that up? Come on.”
Jayne, who has dealt with her own highly publicized divorce from Tom Girardi, then asks, “Why are you replacing a picture of your wife with your Dancing with the Stars partner? All that’s gonna do is make people talk more. It doesn’t help. It actually hurts.”
Richards addresses the photo directly toward the end of their girl’s night when Stracke asks her if it “feels weird” to see Umansky’s unoccupied office now that he has moved out of their home.
“Yeah, it feels weird that my picture was taken down, too,” Richards says.
