Norway has announced the date of King Harald V’s funeral. The late monarch, who died on Friday, August 28, at the age of 89, will be laid to rest on Wednesday, September 9, following a service at Oslo Cathedral.

The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. local time and will be led by Olav Fykse Tveit, presiding bishop of the Church of Norway. Oslo Bishop Sunniva Gylver will also participate, while cathedral organist Marcus André Berg and the Oslo Cathedral Choir will provide music. The ceremony will follow the Church of Norway’s traditional funeral liturgy.
