Kim Kardashian did not receive financial compensation for her futuristic photo shoot with Elon Musk’s $30,000 Tesla robot, according to her rep.
The publicist told the New York Times Friday that the “Kardashians” star, 44, did not get paid to post about the tech creation to her 359 million Instagram followers.
Kardashian — who appears to be friendly with Musk, as she’s been photographed with the SpaceX founder, 53, at several social events — seems to be a fan of the tech mogul’s products.
She has also posted on social media photos of herself posing alongside a Tesla Cybertruck she owns.
Earlier this month, however, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum introduced her followers to the Tesla Optimus Robot, asking it whether it could wave to her and make the shape of a heart with its hands.
“Hi! Can you do this? I love you?” Kardashian asked the robot before responding in amazement when it held out its hand to complete her heart.
The Skims co-founder then asked, “OK, what should we do?,” adding with a laugh, “Let’s go for a run.”
Following the interactions, people on the internet poked fun at Kardashian, claiming she had found a “new low-maintenance boyfriend.”
The mother of four — who has been single since her split from Odell Beckham Jr. earlier this year — then trolled the critics by interlocking hands with the gold robot in her steamy photo shoot.
Although Kardashian’s rep denied to the New York Times that the reality star received any payment for these attention-grabbing posts, the newspaper expressed doubt.
Its story pointed out how in October 2022 Kardashian was ordered to pay the Securities and Exchange Commission $1.26 million in penalties for “touting on social media a crypto asset security … without disclosing the payment she received for the promotion.”
A rep for the Skkn by Kim founder declined Page Six’s request for comment.
