Comedian Kevin Hart is set to host the 2025 BET Awards as part of the organization’s 25th anniversary event, airing live on BET Monday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Hart, who hosted the award ceremony back in 2011, is an Emmy-award nominated actor for his work in “Die Hart” and “The Roast of Tom Brady.” For BET, he hosted the stand-up comedy showcase “Comic View: One Night Stand” in 2008 and executive produced and starred in the scripted parody series “Real Husbands of Hollywood” in 2013.
“For over a decade, Kevin Hart has been a beloved part of the BET family, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him return to host the 25th anniversary BET Awards,” BET president and CEO Scott Mills said in a statement. “His unparalleled talent, infectious energy and deep connection to our audience makes him the perfect host for this historic celebration.”
Dubbed as “Culture’s Biggest Night,” the BET awards have celebrated the best of Black entertainers in music, film and sports ever since being founded in 2001. Previous hosts include Taraji P. Henson, Regina Hall, Leslie Jones, Tracee Ellis Ross, Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, Samuel L. Jackson, Queen Latifah and Jamie Foxx.
