Kentucky Derby 2025: Dylan Dreyer Shares Update on Sheinelle Jones Amid Today Absence (Exclusive)

Sheinelle Jones’s TV family has her back.

Amid the Today cohost’s months-long absence from the long-running morning show, her colleague Dylan Dreyer shared an update on her current status.

“She’s doing all right,” the meteorologist exclusively told E! News at the 2025 Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Ky., May 3. “She’s hanging in there. We’re praying for her and her family. You know, she’s just going through a tough time with her family.”

And Sheinelle’s onscreen counterparts, including Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker, have been keeping close tabs on her throughout her leave.

“We talk to her every day,” Dylan continued. “One of us on the team talks to her every single day, and we’re there to support her, and we’ll welcome her back with open arms the second she can get back to us.”

Sheinelle, 47, last appeared on air in December. As Today viewers expressed concern about her whereabouts, the beloved TV personality shared a message with fans on social media addressing her absence.
