Kayla Nicole is calling out the critics who have told her to “get over” ex Travis Kelce.

“People will always say, ‘Get over it,’ which is so interesting. And to them I’d say, ‘You too,’” the sports journalist, who split from the NFL star two years ago, said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Second Wind Podcast.”

Although she didn’t mention the Kansas City Chiefs star by name, Nicole explained that her “authenticity” and “transparency” in sharing her breakup story has become her “super power.”

“Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people,” she continued elsewhere in the episode.

The media personality, 33, clarified that her breakup story wasn’t the origin story of who she is.

“It’s a chapter in my story and in a lot of ways I think it was a catalyst to a lot of great change and motivation and self-help in my life,” Nicole added.

“I started going to therapy because of what I went through, and I think that drastically changed the way I navigated the world,” she said.

“I’m honestly thankful for every obstacle I’ve gone through in my life. It has made me who I am. And if you take away all the hurtful or the sad moments in my life, I wouldn’t be Kayla.”

Nicole also touched on joining Season 3 of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” which premiered earlier this year. She echoed what she previously told Page Six at a press day for the series.

“I was really excited to do something on my own that could not be attached to anyone I have dated in my life,” she explained. “Any success that I’ve had on this very big platform … you can’t take that away from me. What I did on that show was all me. I don’t care who I’ve dated in my life.

“It has nothing to do with that, even though they try to scurry that into the narrative,” Nicole said, referring to how she was caught on camera discussing how “going through a public breakup” had been “overwhelming.”

“They tried to put that into the show,” the reality star claimed. “It had nothing to do with that … ’cause once again, everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God, girl, move on.’ OK, fine, this was filmed a year ago.”

Nicole shared that she’s looking forward to the day she will no longer be referred to as “so-and-so’s ex” in the media.

Kelce, 35, and Nicole were involved in an on-and-off romance from 2017 to 2022.

The tight end is currently dating Taylor Swift.
