Joshua Jackson revealed where he stands with his ex Katie Holmes more than 25 years after their breakup.
The actor shared who remains in contact from “Dawson’s Creek” while discussing how the cast rallied around James Van Der Beek following his cancer diagnosis.
“Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close. And Katie and I are very close,” he told “Modern Family” star Tyler Ferguson on the “Dinner’s on Me” podcast Tuesday, noting that his connection with his co-stars is strong despite them not staying in regular contact.
“It’s not a daily call. Sometimes it’s not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call. But when you’re together, A, there’s always that I know you know,” Jackson, 46, explained.
“And B, there is, you know, these moments, like, these major moments in life are, other than your husband, there’s probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to,” he continued.
“Because you had to go through good and bad and happy and f–k you and don’t talk to me and I love you.”
Holmes, who played Joey Potter, and Jackson, who played Pacey Witters, dated from 1998 to 1999 while filming “Dawson’s Creek.”
Although the two decided to remain friends, they co-starred on the WB show until it wrapped in 2003.
Holmes, now 46, went on to marry Tom Cruise in 2006, seven months after welcoming daughter Suri.
She also has been romantically linked to “American Pie” actor Chris Klein, Jamie Foxx, whom she dated from 2013 to 2019, restaurateur Emilio Vitolo Jr. and musician Bobby Wooten III.
As for Jackson, he dated Diane Kruger from 2006 to 2016 before moving on with Jodie-Turner Smith.
