Phew, is it hot in here or is that just Jon Hamm and Olivia Munn in this new clip from Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 4?
The snippet, released exclusively to DECIDER, shows that the chemistry between Coop (Hamm) and Sam (Munn) is off the charts as they continue their secret relationship amid Sam’s ongoing divorce. “Relationship” might be too strong a word here, however, as these two are knocking boots under the cover of darkness more than they are wining and dining with each other.
In the clip, the pair are attending a gathering separately when they come face to face and air out something that could stand in the way of them continuing their sexy trist. Watch the full clip in the player above.
“That’s quite a picture,” Coop says, walking up to Sam from behind as she sips a cocktail.
“Are you going to do something about it,” she asks, looking him up and down seductively as he does the same to her. To that, Coop responds, “I got out of bed, didn’t I?”
This response only gives Sam an in to address something from earlier in the episode, a scene where one of Coop’s former coworkers, possibly Liv (Kitty Hawthorne) — the same woman whose roll in the hay with Coop led to his firing — visited him to drop off some of his personal items. Based on the language, it sounds like Sam witnessed a moment between them.
“She kissed you like someone who’s fucked you,” Sam says with a curt tone as Coop attempts to curb her suspicions and jealousy over what she saw.
“Maybe some women just kiss that way,” Coop playfully responds as he backs away and slowly leaves her standing at the table by herself.
Just a few episodes in, Munn and Hamm’s characters have already had numerous steamy scenes and some pretty graphic moments from their sexcapades — see DECIDER’s coverage of a biting moment. It will be interesting to see if their minor tiff at the party causes a rift or if it brings them closer together in future episodes.
The show, which premiered its first two episodes on Apple TV+ on April 11, follows Hamm’s character as he resorts to robbing his rich neighbors after losing his job. In total, there are nine episodes in Season 1 and the entire first season will be available to stream on May 30.
