JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs have called it quits — and the breakup wasn’t exactly low-key.

In a TikTok video posted Saturday, April 26, Ebbs revealed that Siwa ended their relationship at an afterparty for Celebrity Big Brother UK. The split, they claimed, came after Siwa appeared to grow close to fellow contestant Chris Hughes during filming.

“I flew across the world to support and be there and hold that person in whatever they would be experiencing, leaving such a wild experience, and instead, I was dumped at the afterparty, with Chris [Hughes] in the next room,” Ebbs said.

Reflecting on the breakup, they continued, “I was told that there are confused feelings there … and that she had realized in the house that I wasn’t the person that [she] wanted to spend the foreseeable future with. Which has honestly been … so shocking, that I feel kind of subhuman right now. I feel incredibly humiliated and I feel a bit embarrassed.”

Ebbs — who uses they/them pronouns and began dating Siwa months before the reality show — also claimed they were “love bombed” by the star, saying they were “told that I’m the love of someone’s life [and] being asked to marry them.”

According to Ebbs, Siwa continued sending affectionate messages during filming that “indicated” a sense of “solidness and trust” between them.

“[Siwa] told me a lot of big things and reassured me ‘til the cows come home, [but] has decided that they don’t want to be with me and they wanna explore independence and explore certain feelings,” Ebbs said.

They also pointed to recent Celebrity Big Brother UK episodes, where Siwa was seen getting cozy with Hughes — including moments of hand-holding, cuddling, and forehead kisses.

Ebbs said what played out on screen wasn’t editing magic. The “emotional cheating,” the boundary-crossing, and the public questioning of their relationship were, according to them, all real. “It took that person less than an hour to follow through,” they said, referencing the apparent shift in Siwa’s affection. “In terms of Mr. Christopher, I don’t know. I have opinions, [but] I’m not gonna say them now. In terms of their relationship, that’s their journey, enjoy.”

“I don’t know what the future of this situation holds,” they concluded. “But, yeah. [It’s] pretty, pretty, pretty brutal.”

Meanwhile, Hughes spoke up about his friendship with Siwa, telling E! News: “We’re just messing around — we’re being kids. She was someone I can have fun with.”

“From a friendship point of view, yeah, of course I love her,” he added. “Why would I not want to get on with people when I’m in a house? If I want to spend time with a person who makes me feel like I’m at home, makes me feel happy and forget that we’re filming a TV show, we’re having fun, I’ll do that — because that’s very normal. It was just a friendship, which is only going to get stronger.”

Siwa also gushed about Hughes in a confessional on the show, calling him “a one-of-a-kind gentleman” and “so easy to love, so easy to laugh with.”

“Christopher, the love that I’ve gained for you in this building is insane,” she told him. “I really, really believe you are a vital part of my life that I didn’t know I was missing.”
