A new Malfoy father-son duo has entered the chat.

HBO revealed nine casting additions to the network’s upcoming Harry Potter series on Monday, including the actors behind Lucius Malfoy and Draco Malfoy: Johnny Flynn and Lox Pratt.

Flynn, an actor and musician who recently starred in Netflix’s Ripley, is stepping into the role portrayed by Jason Isaacs in the Harry Potter films, while Pratt is taking over for Tom Felton, who recently announced his return to the role in Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this November.

Isaacs congratulated Flynn in a video on Instagram, praising the “sensational” news of the casting of the “brilliant actor.” As Isaacs noted, the two worked alongside each other in 2021’s Operation Mincemeat. You can check out his adorable message for Flynn below.

Last week, The White Lotus Season 3 alum also showed his support for Felton’s upcoming Broadway run, taking to Instagram and writing of the news, “What a birthday present. Can’t wait son – that’ll be me in the front row with something in my eye. X”

In Monday’s announcement, HBO shared that they have tapped Katherine Parkinson to play Weasley family matriarch Molly Weasley, and Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby to portray Harry Potter’s notorious aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

Bertie Carvel was also announced as the actor behind Cornelius Fudge in the new series on Monday, while Hogwarts pupils Seamus Finnigan, Parvati Patil, and Lavender Brown will be played by Leo Earley, Alessia Leoni, and Sienna Moosah, respectively.

According to Deadline, the new series, which is billed as a “faithful adaptation” of J.K. Rowling‘s novels, will begin filming this summer.
