Ed Kelce spoke about dating advice he gave to his sons, Travis and Jason Kelce, and ended up hitting a nerve when it came to his older son’s lack of game.

“I do remember a brief discussion Jason and I had when he was at UC,” Ed said during an appearance on the brother’s hit podcast, “New Heights.”

“He was telling, ‘Yeah, I see these girls, but I really don’t know what to talk about.’ And I told you then ― and it’s true for every guy, any guy listening ― ‘You know, I know I play football and everybody talks about that, but tell me about you.’”

“All you gotta do is shut up and get them to talk about themselves. And you ain’t gotta say another word,” he said, as Jason collapsed with laughter and Travis covered his face. Ed joked that his approach was “also why I live alone” before the three honed in on Jason having a bit of a tough time with the ladies.

“You definitely encouraged me to just talk to girls, ’cause you could tell that I was just awkward,” Jason said, as his dad exclaimed, “You were awkward. You were uncomfortable.”

“Jesus Christ, I wasn’t gonna say that!” Jason fired back. “I was ‘uncomfortable’?”

Travis took his dad’s side and said, “You were a little uncomfortable.”

When Jason tried to defend himself, Travis reminded him that he used to eavesdrop and listen in on Jason’s conversations with girls on the phone.

While Jason is now married to his wife, Kylie Kelce, the Super Bowl champ has joked about his formerly single status in the past.

“I had absolutely zero game and I looked like an overweight Oompa Loopma,” Jason said on an episode of his podcast last month. “That’s why I didn’t have any girlfriends.”

When Jason’s quotes were posted on the “New Heights” Instagram page, Kylie agreed with her husband’s assessment.

“Can confirm… still not an ounce of game,” Kylie wrote on Instagram. “I find it very charming.”

Jason added in a comment that his “game is so good, you don’t even know it’s happening!”
