It’s been quite the week in the wild world of television. We were forced to bid farewell to The White Lotus and The Pitt but said hello to new seasons of The Last of Us, Black Mirror (Netflix), Hacks, and The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu).

Plus, you better believe we’re binging The Studio and Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV+ and MobLand and Dying for Sex on Paramount+ and Hulu, respectively. So much TV, so little time, am I right?

What about network TV? Great question. The fifth season of Law & Order: Organized Crime premieres Thursday, April 17 on NBC and Peacock, and the season finale of CBS’ popular freshman favorite Matlock also airs this week (Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET). Unfortunately, one show that won’t be new this week is ABC’s High Potential.

When exactly does the beloved Kaitlin Olson-led crime drama return for a second season of intrigue? Here’s everything we know.

Is High Potential On Tonight (April 15)?

Nope. ABC’s Tuesday night duo of Will Trent and The Rookie are airing new episodes from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET, followed by Bad Romance: A Special Edition of 20/20.

How Many Episodes Are There of High Potential?

The first season of High Potential consisted of 13 episodes.

Did ABC Cancel High Potential?

Nope! On January 21, ABC announced they renewed High Potential for a second season.

High Potential Season 2: How Many Episodes?

It was previously reported that the second season will likely have more episodes than the show’s debut offering, which shouldn’t be a surprise considering the show’s success. The first season consisted of 13 episodes, and Kaitlin Olson recently revealed that the second season will have “a little bit more” episodes than the show’s debut offering.

High Potential Season 2 ABC Release Date:

No official release date has been announced, but, per Deadline, the show’s writing staff is currently mapping out the new season, with filming set to begin in May. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, we expect the second season of High Potential Season 2 to premiere in September 2025 on ABC.
