Bad news, Doctor Odyssey lovers. For the time being, the ship show is docked.

After a bombshell was dropped in Episode 8, “Quackers,” leaving the medical crew of The Odyssey on a cliffhanger, we will have to wait for three months to see how the situation is resolved between the main trio.

The show follows the lives and times of crew members on a luxury cruise ship and stars Joshua Jackson, Phillipa Soo, Sean Teale, and Don Johnson. Initially pitched as a medical procedural of sorts, the series has quickly evolved into a messy and fantastical drama that feels almost too good to be true.

Considering the show has become somewhat of a guilty pleasure, it’s no surprise that fans are clamoring for more episodes after a wild ending to last week’s installment.

So where did the show leave off in the last episode? When can we expect a new batch of episodes to release? We’re here to answer all of your Doctor Odyssey-related questions.

Is Doctor Odyssey on Tonight (11/28/2024)?

No, there is no new episode of Doctor Odyssey tonight. The show is currently on hiatus after airing its mid-season finale on November 21.

When Does Doctor Odyssey Episode 9 Air?

Doctor Odyssey will return on Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET. Sadly, for the fans, that means an agonizing three months until we find out how Avery (Soo), Max (Jackson), and Tristan (Teale) deal with their little predicament.

How Did Doctor Odyssey Episode 8, “Quackers,” End?

It should go without saying but this part will include spoilers!

At the beginning of Episode 8, we learn that Avery is pregnant and is contemplating not only what to do, but how to approach the subject with Max and Tristan. As she tells them later in the episode, she must have conceived during their threesome — which occurred back in Episode 6 — so one of them has to be the dad. Who is the father-to-be, though? Good question.

Aside from the parentage, it’s unclear if Avery will decide to go forward with the pregnancy. She is certainly expressing a healthy amount of confusion and angst, especially since she is due to start medical school shortly. Ultimately, the episode ends with Tristan and Max expressing their support for whatever she decides to do.
